This year, we’re making a weekend of it.
On Friday, 17 April at 18h00, why not meet us on the stoep of the local hangout – The Botrivier Hotel – for a cold beer? We’ll all walk up to the Shunting Shed afterwards for a pizza “on the right side of the tracks”.
Saturday, 18 April at 11h00, we’ve teamed-up with the guys from Wine Cellar to put together a tasting of international wines next to the very best Botrivier has to offer, with a light lunch to follow, at Luddite.
The main event, of course, is on Saturday evening, from 17h00 at Beaumont Winery:
Each of the Bot River wineries will bring a barrel of their freshly fermented 2015 wine, and you will be able to taste from these & chat to the winemakers who made them in an informal walk-around tasting. This will be followed by a rustic Overberg feast, a ridiculous beard parade and judging, and accompanied by big laughs and lots of fun & dancing.
A new addition to this year’s hairy fest will be the launch of an exclusive Bot River Reserve 2013 wine, which will be auctioned off on the evening. For one night only, guests will have the opportunity to get their hands on this premium red blend (W.O. Botrivier) with proceeds going towards paying for an extra teacher for Botriver Primary School.
Tickets cost R350 per person, and booking is super essential – only 250 spaces available. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
